We are thrilled to announce that St. Francis of Assisi Academy will begin offering Before and After School Care for registered students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 starting this fall through a third-party provider, 1st Class After Class! This service will be available Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including on non-instructional days (PD Days) and early dismissal days. Spaces are limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure a spot for your child. Our grade 6 band received a Superior at their performance today for the Strathmore Music Festival. Congratulations!

The Kindergartens drew a dinosaur they studied from a book and gave this drawing to their grade 5 buddy. The buddy turned their 2D drawing into a 3D model. The results were magical!!!!

Congratulations to Mr. Jamie Leidl who is moving on to take a new principal assignment at St. John Paul II Collegiate. We have been so blessed to have Mr. Leidl as our St. Francis school principal. His leadership, dedication, and impact on our school community will be dearly missed.

It’s a great day for a read a thon! Our grade 4- 6 students read this morning raising money through pledges for Chalice to support our sister school in Tanzania.

Congratulations to grade 9 student, Ms. Gracie Dengler, on being selected to the U15 Alberta Cup Female Team for Hockey. Gracie is a skilled and hard-working player who is truly deserving of this opportunity. Gracie will compete against other elite female players from across the province in a tournament later this spring. Way to go Gracie, we are super proud of you!

We are so lucky to have had this amazing time to celebrate our faith. The amazing singer in the middle of this video is one of our very own grade 9 students, Hannah! She is so talented that the division one students could be heard at recess calling her “the next Taylor Swift”.
