School’s out. Another year of lessons learned. Friendships made. Challenges overcome. Prayers whispered. Laughter echoing through the halls. And then, as tradition calls us, we lined the bus loop and the parking lot— not to say goodbye, but to cheer them on. Because that’s what schools do. We celebrate the final bell, wave until the last bus disappears, and send our students into summer knowing they will always have a place to come home to. Go chase adventures. Sleep in. Make memories. Grow. We’ll be here, waiting with open doors, when it’s time to begin the story again. Happy Summer, Storm. 🌩️💙

This student will never forget the basketball teams he was part of and the friendships, teamwork, and memories that came with them. His advice to younger students? Listen in class—it makes a bigger difference than you think. PE was his favourite class because it gave him the chance to stay active, play sports, and do what he loves. He’s especially proud of earning Honours every quarter, a testament to his consistency, hard work, and commitment to excellence. Throughout his time at St. Francis of Assisi Academy, he balanced success in the classroom with success on the court. In ten years, he hopes to have a stable and rewarding career, building a bright future for himself. Can you guess who this dedicated student-athlete is? 🎓✨🏆🏀 #STFAGuesstheGrad
This student will always remember the friends, teachers, and experiences that helped shape her journey at St. Francis of Assisi Academy. Her advice to younger students? Do what you think is best for you and stay true to your own path. One of her favourite experiences was Pyrography, where she enjoyed the unique opportunity to create art by burning designs into wood—a class that was as memorable as it was creative. She’s especially proud of the way she has continued to try her best and persevere through the obstacles she has faced along the way. Through her years at St. Francis, she has learned something incredibly important about herself: she is capable. As for where she hopes to be in ten years? Her answer is refreshingly honest: "I'll find out in 10 years." And perhaps that's the best adventure of all. Can you guess who this resilient and thoughtful graduate is? 🎓✨🌱#STFAGuesstheGrad
This student will always remember the incredible friendships she made throughout her years at St. Francis of Assisi Academy. Her advice to younger students? Actually try in junior high, because it gets really hard when you don't pay attention. Volleyball and track were among her favourite activities, giving her opportunities to compete, grow, and create memories with teammates and friends. She's especially proud of helping her relay team make it to Zones, an accomplishment that came through teamwork and dedication. Along the way, she learned that not every subject comes easily—and that perseverance matters, especially when things are challenging. In ten years, she hopes to be living out her passions as an equine veterinarian, running her own clinic and horse training program, while also competing in professional rodeo. Can you guess who this determined athlete and future horsewoman is? 🏇✨🎓 #STFAGuesstheGrad
This student will never forget going to Tim Hortons with his friends and the memories they made together along the way. His advice to younger students? Do your homework, or you're going to get flamed by all your friends. Social Studies was his favourite class because it was interesting, enjoyable, and came naturally to him. He's especially proud of earning Honours this year, a reflection of the hard work he put in throughout Grade 9. Along the way, he discovered that one of his strengths is being able to remember things he learned a long time ago and use that knowledge when it matters. In ten years, he has one clear goal: not McDonald's. Beyond that, he's looking forward to building a successful future and finding a career that's the right fit for him. Can you guess who this sharp-witted and memorable graduate is? 🎓✨☕ #STFAGuesstheGrad

His advice to younger students? Stay active outside of school and make sure you're having fun along the way. Basketball was easily his favourite activity, especially this year, as he had the chance to play alongside friends and watch each other improve together. Spend lots of time with your friends and always be open to making new ones. One of his favourite memories comes from Grade 8 Foods, where he and David Tadros became close friends again and where a certain sugar-and-salt mix-up created plenty of laughter. He’s proud of the many projects he worked on with friends over the years, proving that some of the best accomplishments are the ones shared with others. Through his time at St. Francis of Assisi Academy, he’s learned something important about himself: friendships matter most. As for where he hopes to be in ten years? He's still figuring that out—and that's perfectly okay. Can you guess who this loyal friend and valued classmate is? 🎓💙🤝 #STFAGuesstheGrad
This student will always remember her Grade 8 class—the friends, besties, and the incredible staff who made her time at St. Francis of Assisi Academy so special (including an amazing staff and great principal, too!). Her advice? Always be yourself—your own kind of funny is better than anyone else’s. One day you’ll hear drama and think… “wait, they’re upset over that?” and realize how small things can be. Her favourite classes included Grade 8 Religion with Mr. Keefe & Ms. Holmes, band (especially the funny arguments with Mrs. Stearn and Evelyn, and the many classes with Ms Gemmill, Mr. Hufalar, and Mrs De Orbe where elearning was filled with laughter and connection. She’s proud of her achievements, being a strong student, and the way she supports and values others. Along the way, she’s discovered something powerful about herself: she’s an incredible storyteller. We've been saving a few of these for the very end because, if we're being honest, today is technically our Grade 9s' last day at St. Francis of Assisi Academy—and we're not quite ready to say goodbye. This student will always remember the friendships she built along the way and the people who made her years at St. Francis of Assisi Academy so special. Her advice to younger students? A little wind? No problem for STFA. 🌬️ Our day at Calgary Farmyard was filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of fun. The storm clouds may have rolled in, but our students kept smiling, exploring, and making memories together. Farmyard adventures, fresh air, and Franciscan spirit — that’s a great day in the books for Grade 3! 🚜☀️
Instagram wouldn’t let us post them all, so here’s one more! Congratulations to our Grade 9 Band students who received the Fine Arts Award. Your dedication, creativity, and commitment to making music together have enriched our school community in so many ways. Well done on this well-deserved recognition. Pace e Bene.
Today, at our Junior High Pace e Bene, we celebrated some of the dream gatekeepers among us. The students who were recognized for living out our Catholic Social Teachings, achieving Honour Roll, and earning the top mark in each core subject. Their accomplishments deserve to be celebrated. But awards tell only part of the story. There are dream gatekeepers sitting in every row. The students who keep trying after a disappointing mark. The ones who choose kindness when no one notices. The classmates who include others, show up for their teams, encourage their friends, ask for help, and keep going even when things are hard. Not every act of growth receives a certificate. Not every step forward is visible from a stage. Each of you matters. Each of you is becoming. And each of you has dreams worth protecting. So whether your name was called today or not, keep doing the small things well. Keep choosing who you want to become. Keep guarding the dreams God has placed on your heart. Pace e Bene.
Another week. Another chance to finish strong. The official start of junior high exams. The last full five-day week of the school year. Field trips. Laughter. Memory-making. A few countdowns to summer. The pace is fast, but so is the reminder: these ordinary days become the moments we’ll remember. Let’s make them count, Storm. 🌪️💙
And after the Mass, the BBQ, the farewell, the tears, the hugs, and the photos…. we went and had a little fun. Because growing up should include joy. Because before they become high school students, they get to be kids just a little while longer. LaunchPad. One last get together. And now… to sleep. 💙🎓⚡😴
They chose Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. Maybe because they know what it took to get here. Nine years of growing. Of stumbling and starting again. Of tests and triumphs. Of friendships, heartbreaks, laughter, and becoming. And now they walk these halls one last time— not as the children who first entered them, but as young people ready to climb whatever comes next. No mountain too high. No dream too far. Just one step forward, with courage enough for the journey. 🎓⚡
Pace e Bene. Peace and all good. Not because they were perfect. Not because they always had the right answers. But because, day after day, they chose to become the kind of people our world needs more of. They stood up for dignity. They worked for the common good. They served without seeking recognition. They led with compassion. They noticed who was left out and made room. Chosen by the staff who witnessed their ordinary acts of goodness become something extraordinary. Peace and all good, graduates. May you continue to live what you have learned. 🎓🕊️
A full day. Mass. BBQ. Farewell. The first kindergarten class to walk our halls, now walking out as graduates. 🫶🏻
