Staff and families from St. Francis of Assisi have organized a team to participate in the Coldest Night of the Year Walk, an initiative to raise money for local charities serving those experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Our Kindergartens had some fun sporting their favourite pajamas to school yesterday. Bonus - they brought in their favourite bedtime story to share with the class. Nothing better than a good book in comfy clothes! #SFALiteracy

Valentines for Veterans! As we look ahead to February, Grade 3 Riccio is getting their letters ready for veterans. They also created Acrostic Poems to recognize Veterans’ service for our country. Their goal is to send along a little joy and love to all those Canadian heroes who are still living!

Beginning in December, we started a new tradition at St. Francis with Franciscan Fridays! Staff are invited to nominate students who they have seen going above and beyond to demonstrate the virtues, serving as a witness to others! Our students inspire us every day ♥️

2P got to learn how to log into Chromebooks today as they begin learning how to research for their non-fiction books!

Grade 1 students have been learning about animals that hibernate in the winter. Together they made dens that bears hibernate in!

We will begin with a brief presentation in the gym and then break into groups for school tours.
