"Coldest air on earth" to blow through Alberta this week. In looking ahead at the forecast for our last 4 days together before Christmas holidays commence, we can expect exceptionally cold weather. We would remind all families and students to dress for warmly for the weather, especially if taking the bus before and after school.

We had a Christmas Sock Exchange today in 1CL! Perfect timing in looking at the cold temperatures forecasted for next week! Afterwards, they enjoyed much deserved hot chocolate afterwards! Stay warm 🥶

One of the best gifts we got this Christmas is the completion of our new portables, meaning our library could return to its original space - a new learning commons area. Bonus too: our atrium is now a space where students can gather!

Unfortunately, our Parent Council has had to make the regrettable decision to cancel the Family Christmas Movie Night that was scheduled for this Friday. They plan to schedule a movie night in the new year! We appreciate your understanding.

Junior High was rehearsing today for the grade 6-9 Christmas concert happening tomorrow night at 7pm! We look forward to seeing you there!

Our grade 2 students were working on various Advent activities including cards for those experiencing homelessness, ornament decorating, and learning about Our Lady of Guadalupe!

Our senior girls basketball team took gold in a tournament in Three Hills this weekend. Girls fought a tough, hard battle, but came out on top! Congratulations! Go Storm 🌪️#SFAAthletics

Instead of a traditional secret Santa gift exchange, staff were invited to purchase a gift that reflected what the person would have had as a toy in their youth. All items are on their way to the local @magicofchristmasfoothills - it’s in giving that we receive!

4B tried to spy on Mr. Leidl with the periscopes they made in science today. After getting caught in the act, they were able to teach him how we can manipulate the way light travels.

Our second of three Christmas concerts takes place this Thursday beginning at 7:00 PM in the school gym. Come out for an evening of musical melodies from our grade 4 & 5 students who have been practicing daily in preparation.

Kindergartens were on a very serious mission/scavenger hunt this afternoon. They had their special reading glasses to make sure they could see clearly!
