Just a friendly reminder to all families, students are invited to wear their costumes to school this Friday, October 28th. When choosing your costumes, please remember to reflect the Catholic nature of our school. Please refrain from anything that would be considered unkind, not thoughtful, or make others feel unsafe/scared. On Monday, October 31st (Halloween Day), students are invited to wear black and orange. Costumes will not be worn on this day.

Launched in 1994 by The Learning Partnership, Take Our Kids to Work Day is an experiential learning opportunity for Grade 9 students across Canada offering them the chance to see the world of work firsthand, explore a variety of careers and sectors, and look at what skills are important to thrive in the world of work. Grade 5 and 6 students were fortunate to have joined other Okotoks schools elementary schools at an Okotoks Oilers game this afternoon! Looks like they had a lot of fun!

In Grade 9 Religion while discussing self-image and created in God’s likeness, students explored advertisements and the impact on the reader - what the goals of them were, groups being persuaded, and what the images are trying to portray. Were they healthy or detrimental?

Kindergarten Threlfall was busy this morning demonstrating their ability to sort based on a leaf’s traits including colour and size! #SFALearning

All the grade 5s gathered yesterday to build their weather tools. They’ll be testing them this afternoon! Any predictions on how you think they’ll do!?

Do you have any gently used winter clothing that you’re willing to donate to those in need? Drop off or send with your child to school until October 21! Our goal is to stuff a truck full!

We joined Grade 6O this morning to learn about the different parts of a story and how to recognize the different parts as we read or listen!

Congratulations to our cross country runners who crushed it at Zones! Each heat had over 80 kids; Milo, Jaelyn, and Ocean finished top 10 in their category! Destinee, Amara and Reid finished in the top third. So proud of our little but mighty team! #SFAAthletics
