On behalf of JPII's Parent Council, you're invited to a parent information session on Monday, April 24th at St. JPII School hosted by: Jo Phillips and Joe Whitbread from Jo(e) Social Media. The presentation begins at 7:00 p.m. and lasts approximately 90 min. + 30 min. of Q&A. Open to any member of the community – feel free to bring a friend! This session has been organized in response to parent feedback earlier this year at Parent Council meetings, where it was clear that parents welcomed more information related to our children’s use of social media and technology. There are a lot of scary misconceptions around how kids are using social media. Unfortunately, parents and educators are proceeding with uninformed fear, because of it. Since 2015, the Jo(e)s have traveled the province, offering help to kids and parents in a social media and digital world. Join us to learn just how powerful and safe kids can be when they have our support and learn from first-hand research what kids are actually doing on the platforms we all use, every day. For more information about the Jo(e)s, please visit www.WhitbreadPhillips.com
Our junior high students and their parents are invited to join us Wednesday night at 7:00 as our guest speaker Michael Chiasson will present on the topic “Things I wish my parents knew”.

Happy Easter! Alleluia! HE IS RISEN! Wishing all of our families a safe and restful Easter break. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday, April 17th.
Happy Easter! He is Risen! #Alleluia
Good Friday is not good in the sense of a happy celebration. It is Good because it has forever changed the world, reminding us that unconditional love doesn’t stop with wishing others well. It is Good because it reminds us that the Good is often painful; that God’s will for our lives asks that we love until it hurts. Good Friday is not the end, it’s the beginning. #HolyWeek
When we consider that the act of feet-washing was usually reserved for the lowliest slave, we come to realize that what Jesus did is symbolic of serving others with humility. What we can learn from his example is that our acts of love should be devoid of pride. Some acts of love and kindness don't require us to put ourselves in a position of discomfort, but the one that Christ performs here signifies that sometimes discomfort is necessary in service. As part of our Holy Thursday Liturgy, staff volunteered to wash the feet of students and staff to symbolize what Jesus did for his disciples on the night of the Last Supper. ♥️
Our grade 4 students took part in a reenactment of the Last Supper this afternoon as part of their Holy Thursday activities. #SFAFaith
